During a visit to a Louis Vuitton boutique, the 41-year-old posted a video showing herself with a luxurious shell-shaped jewelry box, worth an estimated $23,600. The unique accessory features the brand's signature monogram, gold details and a microfiber interior.
But it was the description accompanying the video that caused the most reactions.
“I just saw someone from high school post a picture of her three kids and the caption: ‘What could be better than this?’ With all due respect, a $23,600 Louis Vuitton seashell jewelry box,” Ferguson wrote.
She then added another comment: "Take it with humor."
However, the post was not well received by a large portion of users, who considered the statement excessive and insensitive.
"I hope you're kidding," "Children are worth more than any luxury item," and "That box will never tell you: 'Mom, I love you more than anything in the world,'" were some of the comments that took over the network.
On the other hand, there were also followers who defended the influencer, considering the post simply a joke.
"I have three kids and honestly... she's right," one user wrote.
