"I was offered to be a resident of BBV", confesses Zhaklin Lekatari:
Zhaklin Lekatari

How easy can it be to write about a man you think you know, that you have spent quality time with him, shared moments of work, joy and media challenges? Not easy at all! Because she herself, Zhaklin Lekatari or Zhaku, for me has many layers. From those layers that you have to dig to discover and unravel, that inside a rebellious spirit hides a peaceful, fragile Jacques, who with the strength of the woman that characterizes him, seeks to move all the engines of this society, to given her the role she deserves.

Labeled as the "sex girl", Zhak for the first time in our country broke what is taboo: to talk about sex in a work collective, but also in a more open auditorium. He broke the silence of the Kamasutra books and continues to do so with the same passion as years ago. He entered the "beds of Albanians", answering many questions, sometimes tendentious, just to educate about sex. And not only that...

She is one of the activists of many protests in defense of women's rights, she continues to fight to undo what has been badly ingrained in the Albanian mentality for years. Therefore, today, Zhaku is with us in this issue of "Living" magazine to give voice to her: the woman and her role in society. To be heard and proved that being like that is so interesting! It is an adventure that requires a certain courage or a challenge, that never bores you, just like its very colorful and shadowy nature.

Recently, in the role of an opinion columnist, she is adding a new tone to her character, so much so that she has occasionally felt prejudiced for the analyzes of the "Big Brother" residents, for the position held or for the messages of forwarded without shame, being described as the most rebellious voice of the Albanian media.

- It's not that you haven't made your life known, from childhood until now; leaving for Italy and returning to Albania. What did you gain and what did you lose during these years?

I lost myself, I gained myself.

- How did you find your relationship with your mother Antoneta and is she the person you find support in moments of weakness? Have you managed to recover the gaps created by childhood?

I say that the generation I belong to has difficulties communicating with parents, because of the way I grew up, so I still have my difficulties, however, the family is without a doubt the place where I rest in moments of weakness, although I have not managed to recover the gaps of childhood.

- Have you had trauma in your life and what was the strongest one that left a mark?

I think that my father's illness (ten years sick with cancer) and his passing away at a young age was the biggest trauma of my life. My father was a special man and today's meetings with his friends prove this to me. He knew that he would not stay long with us and in those years he took care to prepare us for the life that awaited us in very original and ingenious ways. Growing up, when I thought of his advice, I became aware of the magic, the strength, the intellect and the great love he had for us. I missed him a lot growing up and have never forgotten him even though he has been gone for 31 years.

- At one point in your life you wanted to become a nun. How did you come up with this idea and when you look back, do you think it was a quick "decision" without thinking about it?

I have done several years of study in a nunnery college and my education was undoubtedly humanistic and very connected to the teachings of the Catholic religion, because I lived in Italy, a country where the Catholic religion is an important institution. Now that I am an adult, I say that what I really felt was the fear of the future and of life, and those nuns seemed to me the safest place, where nothing bad would happen to me.

- Today you are the aunt of a nephew and a niece whom you love very much. How much time do you spend with them and what do you try to convey to them?

Nephew and niece are the most important people for me and therefore I try to be a warm shoulder for my sister and for them. Sister deals with the family education part, while I deal with personal and spiritual development, trying to work with their insecurities and helping them become the people they need to become. In our family there is no place for prejudices, misunderstandings, aggressiveness in communication. We think that love is the most important thing and we don't skimp on it.

- After returning from Italy, you lived a good part of the time in Pristina, working in radio. How do you remember Pristina and do you still keep in touch?

"Radio Urban Fm" has been a place where I have worked for a long time and of course I still keep in touch with friends and colleagues. Prishtina was an important experience for me, who had just come from life in Florence, with a completely naive perception of the world and life. There I recognized the true human nature and took the first steps towards being an adult.

-Zhak, how did you get the invitation to be a columnist for "Big Brother Vip Albania"? Did you expect it? Have you been proposed before to be a resident of this house?

Yes, they offered me to be a resident of the house, but because of the isolation and difficulty that she has as an experience, I did not accept. Freedom is the most important value for me. The invitation came to me this year, just before the start of the show.
