The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, on an unusual day was photographed driving a tank while visiting the regiment of the Queen's Guards.

Dressed in a military uniform and with a helmet on her head, she tries out the experience in the armored vehicle and seems to be enjoying it judging by the smiles captured in the photo.

Kate's visit to this regiment comes about 3 months after King Charles appointed her Colonel-in-Chief.

The Princess of Wales took part in several activities during the visit, including driving a tank, learning the elements of radio communication and learning about drones.

It wasn't her first experience in military uniform, as in March Kate visited the Irish Guards and in September took part in a flight simulation with the Royal Navy as the new commodore in charge of the fleet's air wing.
