Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp may soon have specialized features available only to users who are willing to pay for them.

Meta is creating a “New Monetization Experiences” feature that will focus only on paid features for the company's app.

Facebook and Instagram already have a number of paid features, such as Stars and various subscription products.

It's not known what paid features the company is bringing, but Meta vice president John Hegeman said they're looking at Twitter, Snapchat and Telegram, which have recently launched monthly subscriptions.

Paid features can help the company Meta find new sources of income not only from advertising.
