Megi Pojani was this morning invited to the show "Wake Up" to talk about the video she published yesterday, where she appeared in the cemetery.
In the video in question, the moderator appeared laughing while cleaning her great-grandmother's grave. These images have been commented a lot by the public but also by well-known screen characters, who have criticized and even offended.
While in the "Wake Up" studio, Maggie said that she does not know who republished this video. She added that when she woke up in the morning she saw all the madness that had happened.
"I did not dare to open the video, and this has happened to me several times. They used to call me, even my sisters. It's a video from 3 years ago. I apologize for this video. There is a transition that I followed as a character, as a person.
I started posting on social networks a long time ago and I didn't know what to post. But now I've realized that when you do something without any intention and it's posted now, it takes on a different connotation. That's a lesson I had to learn," said Maggie, who apologized again.
"I have asked for a public apology, it is the first time I have done such a thing. I apologize to the people who still haven't gotten over the great pain of a person they no longer have who they loved so much. I apologize to people who are sensitive from that country", said the moderator.
Pojani also explained something about the video made 3 years ago.
"But I have to explain something, about how I saw it and why I did it. When that video was made, before I was, I was taught by my family to be very family oriented.
My sisters and I accompany mom, it's not a process where mom goes there and we wait. We go there, roll up our sleeves, fill up with water. You have to uproot the grass, get cleaning supplies. I do this 2-3 times a year. How can I show disrespect? I was on my great grandmother's grave. A very intimate process. My mom is very sensitive. Mom is always crying even though that person may have died many years ago. I don't see my mom crying, and together with my sisters we try to do something," said Maggie.
Asked what the parents said about this, Pojani replied:
"They understand, my mom understands that we are her best therapy. My father is the same as us, we are there for the family and we try to lift each other up".
Maggie said at the end that she has received a lot of negative messages, but there have also been messages from people who tell her that they understand her.
