People on social media have noticed two contradictory statements by Meriton Mjekiqi about his son, Loari.

In his confession in "Big Brother", Meritoni said, among other things, that the first time he met the boy was when he turned 2 years old.

"I have a lot of emotions when I talk about my son. I haven't seen him, or heard his voice for many months. I was only 22 years old when I found out I was going to be a father. I was not there when the son was born because he was in Italy. I didn't even have a visa to travel. It was also covid, I haven't met him for two years because of problems with his mother. I met him after two years. It's been exciting. I had problems with his mother, I can't talk anymore. I would really like to have him close, but his mother doesn't want to. I want to thank him very much for everything, for the boy, he is the reason that keeps us close".

However, in an interview given 4 years ago, January 2020, at 'Rudina' Meritoni said that he tries to enjoy every moment with his son, who was a newborn at the time.

"We have never married Egesta. I have met and we have had a long relationship, as a result of our love, our most beautiful virtue in life, Loari, has also come. It has continued, we have been together for a while, but now Loari stays with his mom. Egesta lives with Loari in Austria, she has the right to keep her son, as normal as any mother, while I live in Pristina. From time to time, I try to travel and be near the normal Loire. Our reports about the boy are good, we don't have anything stopping us in the meantime, we are happy to have our part. And so life goes on. I respect him a lot. Egesta is very devoted to Loari, she dedicates herself to him every moment, she stays by his side".

We recall that the day after his confession to BBV, Egesta hinted on social media that Meriton's confession is not true. She shared a photo of the boy under Instastory writing: "Don't worry honey, the truth will always win. Soon…"
