First Lady Jill Biden has again tested positive for the second test for COVID-19. President Joe Biden, who has been staying with his wife for three days at their vacation home in Rehoboth, Dellauer, has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a White House announcement.

Jill Biden first tested positive for the virus on August 15, when she and her husband were vacationing on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

She remained in isolation until she received two negative test results and was allowed to meet the president in Dellauer on Sunday.

Deputy Communications Director Kelsey Donohue said that Mrs. Biden "has not experienced a recurrence of symptoms, and will remain at Dellauer, where isolation procedures have begun again."

Jill Biden, 71, like her husband, has had both vaccines, as well as both booster doses of Pfizer.

She has taken the antiviral drug Paxlovid, which has proven to be very effective in preventing serious illness and death in people most at risk from COVID-19.
