The President of Serbia, Vučić, is branded in Serbia as a "traitor", the man who neglected the interests of Serbia. Vucic, for his part, attacks the opposition and the media, even RTS and Tanjug. Vucic announced a speech.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has been the target of great criticism from the opposition and some media in Belgrade. While he claims that the explanation will answer. On his Instagram profile, he posted a message after returning from Brussels and warned of another "important" speech for tonight, where he will explain "what happened yesterday in Brussels".

Vucic's message - the opposition and the media are spreading lies

In the message, he thanks the citizens of Serbia "for your care and support during a difficult day yesterday". "We arrived in Belgrade in the early hours of the morning and now I am analyzing what happened. We fought as much as possible in difficult conditions, we fought for the future of Serbia in peace, for the continuation of investments in our country, to keep my oath and the Constitution of Serbia as well as Kosovo and Metohija as part of Serbia," declared Vucic.

The President of Serbia attacked the "tycoon media" (as he calls the opposition media in Serbia), but for the first time he also attacked Radio Television of Serbia and the Tanjug news agency, for "spreading lies about him". That's why he decided that tonight at 21:00 he will address the citizens of Serbia "to explain what happened in Brussels".

"Tonight I am responding to all the political and media manipulators who would trample their country for a crumb of power. Serbia has no price. We will defeat them. Serbia will win," warned Vucic.

Vucic "is a traitor"

The opposition in Belgrade say that Vučić accepted the de-facto independence of Kosovo yesterday and committed "treason". "The agreement from Brussels is a complete collapse of Vucic's foreign policy. Nothing was achieved with it and we are where we were at the beginning when Vucic came to power", says the head of the SRCE (ZEMRA) movement, Zdravko Ponosh.

Savo Manojlovic, the director of the campaign "Kreni-promeni" (Start the change), says that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, by accepting the Franco-German plan, has enabled the five countries of the European Union, which have not recognized the international subjectivity of Kosovo, do it now. The leader of the ultra-right party Dveri, Boshko Obradović, claims that the agreed proposal is about "the overthrow of the Constitution and the open recognition of Kosovo's independence".

"Article 4 paragraph 2 of the Franco-German agreement, which Vucic accepted last night in Brussels and the EU announced publicly, says: 'Serbia will not oppose Kosovo's membership in any international organization'. This is an open recognition of the fake state of Kosovo. This is the destruction of the Constitution of Serbia and Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council," Obradovic asserts.

Vučić "is not a traitor"

While Vucic is protected by his fellow party members. The former minister of his party, Zorana Mihajlovic, called on all politicians and public figures to show responsibility for the proposal of the European agreement on the issue of Kosovo and to show understanding for Vučić's Serbian Progressive Party, because it is "right, responsible and democratic". Noting that now is the moment for a decision on the proposal of Europe and the USA on the issue of Kosovo, Zorana Mihajlovic said that "its acceptance does not mean recognition of Kosovo" nor "treason ", as criticized by some representatives of the opposition.

"It is a decision that should bring what everyone has defended for years - peace, coexistence, a better life for Serbs and Albanians", says Mihajlovic. "The past is not an option! We want to live in peace, without crisis and crisis situation, we want to work, live and laugh and not hear news about injured children in Kosovo. We want to deal with new technologies and green transition, not with weapons, pink or green suicide drones, devices military and allusions to ongoing conflicts. Both Serbs and Albanians must develop", she states./ DW
