Donald Trump clashed with Australia's ambassador to the United States during statements to reporters covering Australian Prime Minister Tony Albanese 's visit to Washington.
An Australian journalist asked the US president if he had any concerns about the Albanian government, such as regarding Rudd's past critical comments about him, who had also served as prime minister.
Trump responded, " I don't know anything about it ," perhaps not realizing Rudd was in the room.
Trump went on to ask if Rudd still worked for the Australian government.

An awkward exchange took place between the U.S. president and the Australian ambassador????????
After signing an agreement on rare earth minerals, a journalist reminded Trump that Ambassador Kevin Rudd had once called him… pic.twitter.com/UEooOxvqYs
The ambassador responded that comments that he disliked Trump were made before he took on his current role.
Trump then said: " I don't like you either and I probably never will ."
Rudd 's controversial comments were made in 2020 on social media, where he called Trump "the most destructive president in history." He later deleted them.
