The White House is increasingly concerned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could disrupt the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
This is reported by the New York Times, emphasizing that the Trump administration's strategy is to try to prevent it from resuming a full-scale attack against Hamas.
For this, he has sent Vice President JD Vance, Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to the region.
The latter traveled to Israel yesterday, while Vance is expected to go today. The goal, according to the American newspaper, is to put pressure on Israel for the agreement.
Also according to the newspaper, negotiations are reportedly underway with Turkey to send a specialized team to help find the bodies of missing Israeli hostages in Gaza, following difficulties acknowledged by Hamas.
On the other hand, Trump has also threatened Hamas with destruction if it breaks the ceasefire.
