A rare incident occurred during a video conference between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky  and journalists, after the discussion was interrupted by a phone call from Emmanuel Macron .

In a video posted on X , Zelenskyy was being " interrogated " by a journalist when he suddenly picks up his cellphone and is heard saying:  Excuse me Emmanuel, I have a conversation with journalists, can I call you for 15-20 minutes ?

After 1-2 seconds in which he apparently heard the French president's positive response, Zelenskyy thanks him for his understanding.

Journalists who were part of the conference then asked the president if he had actually spoken to Macron.

" Yes, I just spoke with President Macron. We talk very often, almost once a day ," Volodymyr Zelensky explained .
