New details have emerged about the death of Scotland's former first minister, Alex Salmond, who led the country from 2007 to 2014.
The founder of the Alba Party is reported to have passed away in North Macedonia, while participating in a forum on culture and diplomacy held in Ohrid.
69-year-old Salmond was having lunch with some of his friends in Ohrid, when one of them asked him for help to open a bottle of ketchup.
According to witnesses, while trying to open the bottle, Salmond leaned against the chair and passed away.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was a heart attack, as the former prime minister had earlier complained of pain in his right leg.
