Ecuadorian drug cartel boss Manuel Julián Sevillano Bustamante was buried with large quantities of weapons to "protect himself in the afterlife".

Bustamante, killed at the age of 39, was the leader of the "Los Fatales" gang.

The shocking video shows how the Ecuadorian drug lord's subordinates filled his coffin with machine guns, shotguns and revolvers so that in the afterlife he would be "armed to the teeth and able to defend himself". They also left a hat on the coffin so he could "look his best" at St. Peter's Gate.

Bustamante was shot at a car wash in the city of Mocache, Ecuador, when he was with his 20-year-old daughter and a security guard. And his daughter, who was injured, later died in hospital.

It occurred to him that his rivals found out that he regularly visits the same car wash. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the deaths of Bustamante and his daughter.

Authorities suspect the attack may be the result of a conflict between rival gangs in the lucrative world of drug trafficking.

According to local media, Los Fatales are at war with the Los Cornejos cartel for control of the drug trade in Manabi and Los Rios provinces. There has been an increase in crime in Ecuador. The country recorded 4,600 violent deaths in 2022, double the number of the previous year.
