Ukraine liberates another city near Kiev

The town of Bucha, which is located northwest of Kiev, has been liberated. The news has been given by the city's mayor, Anatolia Fedoruk, via a video posted by Kiev Independent.

Mayor Fedoruk thanked the Ukrainian armed forces for the liberation of the city, which was invaded by the Russian military on the third day of the war.

"31 March will enter the history of our city," he said.

Bucha is the next city to be liberated from Ukraine. Irpin and another town in the north-west of the capital were previously liberated.

Meanwhile, a fuel depot has been attacked in Belgorod in Russia, and Moscow has accused Kiev of hiding behind the attack. The depot was hit by two Ukrainian military helicopters after they crossed the border at low altitude, however Kiev has denied attacking. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the attack would affect peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.

On the other hand, The Times writes that China has been Russia's associate in invading Ukraine, supporting it through the hashing of defence and civilian and nuclear institutions to disrupt their infrastructure. Citing British intelligence documents, according to The Time more than 600 websites belonging to the defence ministry in Kiev and other institutions underwent thousands of hacking efforts, which were coordinated by the Chinese government, according to Ukraine's security service, the SBU.
