A 23-year-old Ukrainian woman was found stabbed to death in Fano, Pesaro-Urbino (Italy).
Anastasiia Alashri was found with three wounds in the village of Villa Giulia.
The suspected perpetrator, her ex-husband, a 42-year-old Egyptian, was arrested at the Bologna station.
The young woman, who arrived in Italy in March after fleeing Kiev after the war in Ukraine, worked in a restaurant in Fano. On Sunday she did not show up for work and this alarmed her colleagues.
The young woman had apparently gone to her ex's house to retrieve some clothes before she died.
The stab wounds were inflicted on different parts of the body. The victim was the mother of a three-year-old boy. Separated from her husband, she wanted to start a new life with a new partner.
On Sunday morning, Anastasiia had decided to return to her home to collect some personal belongings. She met her ex-partner with whom she had had a heated argument. From that moment on, the 23-year-old lost track, to the point that her worried friend decided to go to the police and report the incident.
The search started immediately and it became possible to catch the suspected perpetrator, her ex-husband, according to Tg Com.
The Public Prosecution of Pesaro issued a restraining order for the crime of murder. The suspected murderer was then sent to Bologna prison.
