Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani will hold a press conference upon her return from the United States of America, in response to the latest statement by US envoy Richard Grenell.
The news was announced by her media advisor, Bekim Kupina, who confirmed that the conference will be held immediately after Osman's return to Pristina.
The reaction comes after Grenell accused the president of "manipulating Donald Trump's words," referring to her statement that the White House chief had recently prevented a potential conflict between Kosovo and Serbia.
"Shame on Vjosa Osmani for manipulating President Donald Trump's words," Grenell wrote in a public reaction. Regarding Osmani's statement, PDK MP Blerta Deliu-Kodra said that she has no such information, but that Belgrade's actions are expected.
"This is because Serbia has continuously attempted to hinder Kosovo in every form of its functioning. And at this stage it is very important that Kosovo has its own institutions and that we have a reflection" - was the legislator's comment.
Vjosa Osmani stated earlier this week in Washington that President Trump has prevented a possible escalation from Serbia to Kosovo "in recent weeks."
