Trump: Venezuela will supply us with 30-50 million barrels of oil

Donald Trump

United States President Donald Trump has announced that the transitional authorities in Venezuela will supply the United States with 30 to 50 million barrels of high-quality oil, without being subject to sanctions.

In a post on his social network Truth, Trump said that the oil will be sold at market price and that the proceeds from this deal will be managed by him personally, with the aim of being used "for the benefit of the Venezuelan people and the United States of America."

"This is an important agreement for both U.S. energy security and the future of Venezuela," Trump wrote in his statement.
