Three brothers tragically lost their lives in Texas, USA, after falling into a frozen lake. It is learned that the minors were skating on a frozen lake when the ice began to break.

Cheyenne Hangaman, the boys' mother, said she tried to save them but the ice wouldn't let her as it continued to break.

Hangaman learned of the accident when her daughter ran toward her, screaming that the boys had fallen in. The children were playing near the lake, about 30 yards from the home where the family lived.

The youngest fell first after trying to slide on the ice. Then the two older boys jumped after him.

"I tried to fight for my children's lives, where I had to watch them struggle and drown and I couldn't help them," she said.

The local sheriff's office said the two older boys were initially pulled from the water by emergency workers and a neighbor. The 6-year-old was later found after an extensive search of the lake.
