A 30-year-old man from Kosovo lost his life in a tragic accident on Wednesday evening in Switzerland. The victim has been identified as citizen Jetmir Morina.

He was traveling on the highway towards Zurich, while it was raining. In Winterthur he calls his mother.

"Suddenly he said there was an accident and he wanted to go help," his brother Besart Morina told Blick a day later.

Morina's attempt to help ends fatally. When he got out of the car, Morina was hit by another vehicle on the shoulder, which crashed onto the highway.

The 30-year-old jumped over the railing on the main road below and was hit by another car. The young man residing in Switzerland was immediately taken to the hospital, but due to serious injuries, he died.

Morina's brother, Besarti, is informed by his sister-in-law that same evening. "My phone rang. I was in shock, I just didn't want to believe it," he tells Blick.

But he soon realized that he had to keep calm. "I had to tell my parents the sad news. They were very connected to Jetmir".

The family is now waiting for the boy's dead body to be transferred to Kosovo. He can describe his brother, who is the youngest of three children, in a few words.

 “He was the nicest, kindest and most helpful person I have ever known. The prime example in our circle of acquaintances. He was also a loving brother, husband and father. He has three daughters aged five, three and one.”

Jetmiri was a devout Muslim and celebrated Ramadan, says the brother, who works as an imam. Jetmir Morina attended an Islamic high school in Kosovo and then studied dentistry. About six years ago he moved to Switzerland because of love.

"Unfortunately, he has not yet been able to work as a dentist in Switzerland. But he was in the process of putting everything in motion so that in a few years he could do this work in Switzerland. But God had other plans for him," says his brother.

"It means a lot to us that he went as a helper and that God wanted to take him . "
