Rapper Drill Perm is one of two victims of a fatal crash and shooting in south London. Two cars were traveling at high speed when one hit a motorbike and a number of parked cars in Brixton shortly before 8pm on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said.

A young man in his 20s got out of the crashed car and was chased and shot dead by a gunman from the second car, which then drove off. The young man died at the scene in Railton Road.

The motorcycle rider, who is said to be a Deliveroo employee, also in his 20s, died as a result of his injuries. Police said there is nothing to indicate he was a target.

Dean Whyte, Perm's father and a boxing promoter, posted on Instagram: "Rip my son, daddy loves you."

Heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte, a close friend of Dean Whyte who is promoted by him, said: "This is an incredibly tragic incident and our hearts go out to the friends and family of those who lost their lives."

"We are shocked and saddened that such horrific events could happen in one of our local communities and we have offered to support the police however we can."

Police say no arrests have been made, but investigations continue.

Chief Inspector Colin Wingrove said: "I know I share the sentiments of the whole community when I say that I am shocked and saddened by this incident."

"I recognize the distress this will have caused locally and in the wider community, and we are already working closely with our partners to ensure safety and support for residents and others affected."
