The residents of Loutraki in Greece have raised a serious concern in the municipality, from the daily "visits" of wild pigs in the yards of the houses.

As Greek media reports, in addition to damaging trees and flowers in the yard, in many cases wild boars become aggressive and attack citizens.

Meanwhile, in some cases, animals have been the source of accidents, as they go out on the road at night when there is no lighting.
According to recent studies at the Faculty of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotelous University in Thessaloniki, it turns out that in the last two years a significant increase in wild boars has been noticed. The increase in the number of wild boars, according to lecturers at the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, is a consequence of the restrictions imposed last year on hunting, within the framework of the management of the coronavirus pandemic.
