The process of registration of Albanians, in the context of the census of the Serbian population in the Presheva Valley, has been completed.

According to the final (preliminary) data of the population census process, there are 59 thousand Albanians in the Presheva Valley.

In Bujanoc, 45 thousand 500 inhabitants, while in Medvegja, 8 thousand 500 inhabitants, of Albanian nationality.

Considering the demographic composition, especially in Preševo, the number of Albanians in Serbia approaches 110,000.

The final figure will be published after November 1, the date when the full data collection and the official publication of the results will be completed.

According to data reported in 2011 by the Serbian side for the Presheva Valley, about 5,000 Albanians lived there, a completely negligible figure compared to those of 2022, which is ten times higher.
