The husband of former United States Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Bryon Noem, has been having conversations with several sex workers for months.
He paid for these conversations and for the photos they sent him, also sharing selfies with them where his face was recognizable and his body was dressed in clothes that made him look like a kind of Barbie with hypertrophied breasts.
In fact, 56-year-old Bryon Noem was interested in and had virtual contact via his phone with phenomena known as "Bimbofication", a fetish related to the transformation of women into sexually overrated dolls.
The story, illustrated with photos of Noem and interviews with his interlocutors, was published by the British tabloid Daily Mail. He himself has confirmed his involvement in the scandal.
For Kristi Noem, the former conservative governor of South Dakota and the staunch anti-immigration former secretary of ICE, who left office on March 5 after the events in Minneapolis, this is a major scandal.
Noem, a former beauty queen who lives on a ranch near Castlewood, a village of 700, and known as the cowgirl who shot her dog Cricket for misbehaving while hunting, is already facing other controversy over an alleged affair with her adviser Cory Lewandowski, known as “Washington’s least secret.” The affair may have involved the use of public funds, according to allegations.
The former minister, now appointed by Trump as special envoy for Shield of the Americas, a continental security organization, has declared that she is “devastated” by the revelations about her husband, which caught her “off guard.” One of her spokespeople has asked for privacy and prayers for the family.
However, beyond the husband's private behavior, which could damage the former minister's reputation, lie more serious issues: Bryon Noem's online activity exposed him to the risk of blackmail, potentially threatening the national security for which his wife was responsible.
Axios reporter Marc Caputo has revealed that the compromising photos were sent to him while Kristi Noem was still in office, and their source was a foreign sex worker, possibly undocumented, who sought revenge for victims of ICE brutality.
