Thailand's Bangkok Airport Terminal 2 has been engulfed in chaos, as a female tourist has lost a limb due to an electric ladder.
Doctors at the airport were forced to amputate her leg after finding it stuck in the escalator.
The 57-year-old Thai passenger was reportedly due to fly from Don Mueang Airport to the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat this morning.

But in a freak accident, she tripped over her pink suitcase before her left leg was dragged off the rail.
Horrified bystanders tried to press the emergency button to stop the escalator as the machine continued to tear through muscle, tendon and bone in her leg.

The medical team eventually had to amputate his left leg above the knee, according to airport officials. She was then taken to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital in the capital for emergency treatment.
