Serbs protest against Vucic: We only want peace, you betrayed us
Protest in North Mitrovica

Two parallel protests were held today in northern Mitrovica and Shterpcë by local Serbs.

In northern Vitrovica, protesters rallied against President Vučić and the Lista Serbe party, accusing them of treason.

"Vucic - Kosovo doesn't love you, you betrayed us, We don't even love your Association, you sold us", was written on their banners. While they accused the Serbian list of "torture, boasting, uncontrolled enrichment, threats and blackmail;

On the other hand, in Shtërpcë, the protest was held with the claim of "continuous oppression of Serbs in Kosovo", especially after two people were injured in Shtërpcë a few days ago.

Protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as: "Sterpca is the heart of Serbia" and "We only want peace".

The head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, told the protesters that "Our struggle with peaceful and democratic means and our harmony are our strongest weapons to resist the dictatorial anti-Serb regime of Albin Kurti."

Meanwhile, the mayor of Shtërpce, who is also the vice-president of the Serbian List, Dalibor Jevtić, said that the Serbs will neither be afraid nor surrender, and that they want to stay in their countries".

Prime Minister Kurti had stated several times that he is not against Serbian citizens, but against "Serbian criminals" who break the law in Kosovo.

Kosovo Police announced that they closed the Shtërpcë-Prevalë regional road, from the village of Drajkovc to Brezovica, until the end of the protest, which started on Sunday at 12:00.
