Dozens of Ukrainian soldiers have allegedly been killed after an attack on a military barracks on Friday.
About 200 soldiers were sleeping in the barracks when three Russian missiles hit the base on the northern tip of Mykolaiv, a source told the BBC. About 57 people hurt were being treated in hospitals, another source said.
There are no official casualty figures, but it is reported that at least 200 soldiers were sleeping in barracks at the moment they were hit by russian missiles.
Rescue workers searching over giant piles of rubble found a survivor on Saturday - 30 hours after the attack.
The survivor was taken by ambulance to the city centre.
However, the temperature in Mykolaiv last night was minus 6 degrees Celsius and there may not be many survivors.
Vitaly Kim, head of the regional administration, blamed the Russians for the "cowardly and wicked attack at a time that soldiers were sleeping".
"At least 50 bodies have been found, but we do not know how many others are in the rubble," a soldier named Maxim was quoted as saying by AFP news agency.
The city of Mykalaiv is located in south-west Ukraine and is on the way to Odessa, another city targeted by the Russians to control it.
