Rishi Sunak passed the test, British Parliament passes new immigration law

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak passed the test in parliament as his new package for asylum seekers to send them to Rwanda avoided a deadlock and was voted through, surviving dozens of lawmakers calling for his removal.

Sunak had stated that his entire reputation is based on this new strategy to fight immigration, so the vote was a challenge for him in parliament. The new strategy passed with 313 votes in favor and 269 against, after a long day of negotiations.

Despite the victory, the result showed that the prime minister is desperately trying to keep his party under control, but it is not yet known for how long.
