Now that the second round of the local elections on October 12th has concluded, most candidates have declared victories in their respective municipalities, while in some of them, the losing opponents have congratulated their rivals, and some others have even taken responsibility.

From the two rounds of these elections, two parties have emerged with seven municipalities each, according to preliminary results.

LDK and LVV are the big "winners" of these elections, while the latter is considered the biggest winner, as in the previous mandate it governed a total of four municipalities.

Following them is PDK with six municipalities, while AAK emerged from these elections with five mayors.

Drenas was won in the first round by Ramiz Lladrovci with his initiative "For Drenas Champion".
The Social Democratic Initiative reconfirmed Malisheva.

Mamusha was won by the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP), while the Serbian List is the party with the largest number of municipalities, ten in total.

In the first round, the LDK won two municipalities, Istog and Lipjan, while in the runoff it declared victory in five more: Prishtina, Peja, Junik, Viti and Dragash. In the previous elections, this party governed nine municipalities (eight won in the 2021 elections and Obiliq, after its president, Xhafer Gashi, had switched to the LDK in 2022, after winning it with a citizen list).

In the October 12 elections, LVV won without a runoff in three municipalities: Podujevo, Shtime and Kamenica, while in the second round it was also declared the winner in Mitrovica, Gjilan, Fushë-Kosovo and Obiliq. In the last four years, LVV governed only Podujevo, Shtime, Gjilan and Kamenica.

The PDK won Ferizaj, Skenderaj and Hani i Elezit in the first round, while in the run-off it also took Vushtrri, Prizren and Kaçanik. Before these elections, this party governed eight municipalities (these reconfirmed ones, as well as Mitrovica and Skenderaj).

AAK, on the other hand, on October 12th won only Deçan without a runoff, while in the second round it was reconfirmed in four other municipalities: Gjakova, Klina, Rahovec and Suhareka. This party has held the same municipalities.

Meanwhile, Nisma won Malisheva in the first round, while in the second round it did not compete in any other municipality. Even in the previous elections, this party governed only in this municipality.
