The Democratic League of Kosovo candidate for mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has declared victory in the second round of elections in the capital.

In a media appearance, Rama said that today's result showed that democratic culture won over the cult of the individual.

Rama also greeted the opposing candidate from LVV, Hajrulla Çeku, while inviting him to reflect, as according to him, the blockade does not bring development.

"Today is the celebration of our city, unity and democracy. Today the will for development has won. Today democratic culture has won over the cult of the individual," he said.
