A group of Albanian citizens gathered in South Mitrovica, despite the request of the Kosovo Police not to respond to the call posted on social media for protest and "march to the north".

After the protest, it was reported about an incident where two Albanians were returning from North Mitrovica to South Mitrovica when they were attacked by masked people.

Recently, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has published the video in which the moment of the attack on two Albanians can be seen. Sveçla published on Twitter the attack on Albanians and demanded that this act of violence be punished.

The Kosovo police have not been able to arrest the perpetrators, while the two Albanians have suffered bodily injuries and are receiving medical treatment in the hospital.

Jelal Sveclas's post:

"Our citizens were brutally attacked in the square of North Mitrovica by the fascist militia orchestrated and directed from Belgrade. This act of violence and hooliganism must be severely punished. They will not violate the legal and constitutional order in our Republic," - writes Sveçla .
