The clash over Ibri/Vučić over the EU: They reacted immediately to protect

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that the European Commission reacted immediately to his statement about a possible change in the flow of the Ibar River, with the aim of protecting their Albanian servants.

According to Serbian media, Vučić stressed that the European Commission's reactions were lacking to what he called 'the failure to form the ZSO (Community of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo), as well as to the daily arrests and mistreatment of Serbs in Kosovo'.

In Arilje, Vučić, responding to a journalist's question to comment on the statement of the European Commission spokesperson who said that his statements on changing the water flow "do not support the goal of normalizing relations" between Kosovo and Serbia and that this can only be achieved through dialogue, the President asked if she was referring to the dialogue to which "the EU has put its signature, but which it does not respect."

"Are you talking about the dialogue that you signed and about the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities, are you talking about that dialogue? Or are you talking about the lack of dialogue and your reactions to the daily arrests of Serbs, the daily mistreatment of Serbs, the daily persecution of Serbs, the demolition of Serbian houses, are you talking about that? And then you remembered whether or not someone would change the course of the water," Vučić said.

He stated that the possible change in the flow of the Ibar River is still far away and that a working group should be formed and experts found to make this happen.

"We already have some experts, we need more, so let's see what we will do and how we will do it. But they reacted immediately to this, to protect their 'Albanian servants' and to tell them once again: continue committing crimes," Vučić stressed.

He stated that the Chief of General Staff, Milan Mojsilović, also spoke with the KFOR Commander, Özkan Ulutaş, regarding this topic.

"Mojsilovic spoke with people from KFOR, with Commander Ulutaş, a Turk, who said: 'No problem, the Kosovo Police will work with us...'. Really, no problem? Okay, now we see why you did everything you did in 1999, we understand everything and there is no big philosophy, everything is fine. From this perspective, at least we know who we are dealing with. Just don't pretend that you are here for some kind of dialogue or something like that, because you are not for dialogue," Vučić stressed.

As he said, if they were in favor of dialogue, the Albanians would have fulfilled their obligations under the Brussels Agreement, and 'they only had one obligation, the Brussels Agreement.'

"And everything was done for us to fulfill, so that they would fulfill that one obligation. And they did not fulfill it and it never occurred to them to fulfill it. And they say it never occurred to them. And you give them everything else just because you want to expel Serbia from Kosovo. And you still ask us to apologize and tell you how kind you are, but we are 'bad' and we do not know what we are doing," the Serbian president said.

Vučić further accused Albanians of not fulfilling international contracts or obligations.

"They don't even respect the contracts and agreements they reached and signed. And they are still lecturing me. So, if you lecture someone else, forget about me. This is my message to them," Vučić said.

When asked if he had spoken to General Mojsilović, Vučić said yes and reiterated that Mojsilović had spoken to people from KFOR.

"This was probably the worst conversation between General Mojsilovic and the KFOR commander so far," Vučić stressed.

EC spokesperson Anita Hipper said earlier today, as reported by the media, that statements about a possible change in the flow of the Ibar River do not contribute to the "goal of establishing normal relations between Kosovo and Serbia" and that this can be achieved "only through dialogue."
