An incident occurred at the Regional Hospital in Gjilan, where two surgeons physically collided with each other.

Kosovo police have arrested surgeon Luan Mustafa on suspicion of physically attacking his colleague, surgeon Arbër Morina .

Morina said that the attack on him happened in his office, a few minutes after the end of a surgical intervention on a patient.

He said that upon entering his office, the surgeon Mustafa immediately entered, who, according to him, physically attacked him.

It is suspected that the attack came about because of the relationship between the two surgeons.

According to Arbë Morin, Mustafa has broken the rules of the hospital several times, and that for these violations the general director of the Hospital, Arsim Emini, has informed him that he will send him to the Disciplinary Commission. Morina also said that she was threatened several times by colleague Mustafa.

"Yes, several times it has happened to me after threats, due to the fact that for his work, I have reprimanded him in writing because it has happened several times that he has publicly opposed our work, his colleagues, in front of other surgeons who have been in the ward", Morina emphasized.

Police notification:

The complainant (d/c/m 1978), who works as a doctor at the Regional Hospital in Gjilan, while he was in his office at the Surgery department, was physically attacked by his colleague, suspected LM, suffering minor injuries and received medical treatment. The suspect left the scene.

By decision of the state prosecutor, the suspect is detained for 48 hours while the case is classified as "Minor bodily injury".
