A major police operation is underway at Sydney's Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center after a stabbing.
It is reported that at least 4 people have lost their lives, while others have been injured. Meanwhile, the police shot at the suspected perpetrator, while it is suspected that there is also a second perpetrator.
An eyewitness said citizens were panicking and running when he arrived at Bondi Junction.
He had just arrived with his daughter and was descending an escalator when chaos erupted. "A lady had fallen on the escalator," the witness confessed.
A woman, called Aviva, told Radio 2GB she saw dead bodies on the ground. " I saw two victims," she said.
"It's terrible, it's just terrible, I'm in shock."
Hannah Bodrozic and Guy Johnston were shopping on Country Road when they saw a group of about 20 youths running.
They didn't realize what was happening until someone shouted, "It's a man stabbing people!"
From there chaos erupted. "We didn't really know where to go. We tried to go back to the other building, but there were people running in that direction," Bodrozic said.
"Then we heard three shots and everyone started screaming," Hannah Bodrozic said. " About 100 people left from the exit".
