King Charles III was pelted with eggs this Tuesday, for the second time in a month.
Bodyguards quickly intervened to remove the monarch from the scene in Luton as he greeted the public.
Meanwhile, the police said they immediately arrested the perpetrator. The king has traveled extensively across Britain since becoming monarch following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September. He was due to visit several sites in Luton on Tuesday.
Last month a 23-year-old man was arrested after throwing eggs at the king and his wife Camilla during a visit to York, northern England.
Meanwhile on Tuesday the King looked relaxed as he met the public just a day after the Duke of Sussex spoke of a 'dirty game' in a trailer for his new Netflix series.
The royal family is bracing for another barrage of accusations from Harry and Meghan when the series begins on Thursday.
