Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has decided that the Vetëvendosje Movement's nominee Glauk Konjufca will be the candidate for prime minister.
Osmani made this decision after meetings she held today with the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, and the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku.
Likewise, a meeting with Osmani was proposed to the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, but the latter did not attend since he was involved in field activities as part of the run-off campaign.
Glauk Konjufca was proposed today as the mandate holder for the formation of the Government by the Vetëvendosje Movement, which convened its General Council today.
The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, has also called on the country's political parties to unite beyond divisions and create a strong majority that will enable the implementation of reforms and the ratification of important agreements for Kosovo's development.
