You won't believe how much money has been raised on GoFundMe for the hero who disarmed one of the perpetrators in Australia.

The heroic act of the citizen who risked his life to disarm one of the perpetrators of the Bondi Beach massacre has been rewarded with massive public support.

A GoFundMe campaign to support him has broken records, raising over $1 million ($1,034,807 to be exact) in record time.

The campaign, titled "Support the hero who disarmed the Bondi attacker," was created after footage of him fighting the aggressor went viral.

Thousands of people have contributed financially as a sign of gratitude for his courage, which is considered to have prevented an even greater tragedy by stopping the killer's hand.
