A cross about 15 meters high has been placed in the city of Tetova, with a majority of Albanians, inciting harsh reactions.

Placing the big cross on Kodra e Diellit, which is a tourist spot, has been seen as a serious provocation for hundreds of Albanians who live near this area.

The Alliance for Albanians party has reacted harshly by condemning this action, which according to it is aimed at the religious division but also the mass orthodoxy of the Albanians, a policy followed by the Gruevski regime.

The Alliance for Albanians demands an account from the mayor of Tetova, Bilal Kasami, whether the cross was built with permission or not.

We condemn the placing of the Cross on the Tetovo Sun Hill! Head of the Municipality of Tetova, Bilall Kasami, take responsibility!

Placing the 15-meter high Cross on the Hill of the Sun in a tourist spot, at the threshold of the tourist season, constitutes completely unnecessary provocation and polarization.

A Crossroads of such countries reminds us of the time of Gruevski's regime and his campaign to incite inter-religious and inter-ethnic hatred, which long ago created division and tended to orthodoxize the country to a large extent, the duke clashed with cultural diversity, ethnic and religious in our country.

We ask the Municipality of Tetova and Billall Kasami, as well as the head of the Inspectorate Sedat Supejmani, to bear responsibility for this scandal, once and for all to answer whether this cross placed has permission from the Municipality of Tetova, if not to answer why it was allowed to is being built by the inspectorate of the Municipality of Tetova, and why the works have not been stopped until now.

Placing this cross in the ski center and in front of the villas where 80% of the owners are Albanian constitutes an even greater intolerable provocation.

In the Hill of the Sun there is also a Church located in the Monastery complex and a Mosque, and any other object or religious symbol is unnecessary and can only serve as inter-religious and inter-ethnic provocation.
