"We will control Gaza even after the war", this is how the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, declared today, during a meeting with the heads of the border authorities of the besieged enclave.

Netanyahu also stressed that there will be a "complete demilitarization" of the Gaza Strip, to ensure that there is no threat to Israeli citizens.

"We will have responsibility for security in Gaza for an indefinite period of time," he said during an interview for the American television network "ABC".

Politicians in the region and beyond have raised this very concern, the possibility of Israel reoccupying the Gaza Strip and the fear of displacement of the local population.
