Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump had dinner together on Saturday evening at the Mar-a-Lago residence, next to First Lady Melania Trump.
The meeting comes after months of frosty relations and public clashes between the two figures.
Musk posted a photo from the dinner on the X network, writing:
"I had a wonderful dinner last night with the President of the United States and the First Lady. 2026 is going to be fantastic!"
The message is seen as a signal of optimism and the restoration of public contacts between them, after the period when Trump had previously stated that he had no intention of communicating with Musk, only to later admit that the Tesla and SpaceX leader had gone through a "difficult period" and that "he is fundamentally a good man."
The two figures were previously seen together in September, during a memorial service for Charlie Kirk in Arizona, but without any further public developments.
A few hours after dinner and amidst rapid developments in Venezuela, Musk published a series of posts on X, expressing his support for the country's people.
Meanwhile, the company Starlink announced that it will offer free internet in Venezuela until early February, a move that Musk described as an effort to "support the people in a period of uncertainty."
