Putin's friend requested the use of nuclear weapons, the Kremlin reacts

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, one of the most active figures in the war between Russia and Ukraine, has urged Putin to use nuclear weapons as progress has stalled.

This Monday, the reaction of the Kremlin regarding this request came, evaluating it as "emotional". The reaction came from Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov. He rejected the Chechen leader's request, saying that it was emotional.

In a social media post two days ago, Kadyrov criticized Russian commanders who abandoned the strategic city of Liman and asked President Putin to consider using conventional nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

"In my opinion, more drastic measures should be taken, up to the declaration of martial law in the border areas and the use of small nuclear weapons," wrote Kadyrov.
