A knife massacre happened a day ago in a small village in France, leaving a 16-year-old boy dead and 17 others injured.
According to the "Daily Mail", a group of people armed with knives attacked the village of Crepol where about 400 people had gathered to celebrate an annual event.
Far-right groups in France have published videos filmed during the serious event, saying that two of the perpetrators can be identified from the footage.
The authenticity of the videos has not yet been confirmed.
They claim that the perpetrators are immigrants armed with knives, and during the videos they are heard saying "we have come to kill white people".
The killing has sparked political controversy in France, with the far-right calling the attack racism against white people.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin told parliament that seven people had been arrested and investigators would now determine whether they were behind "this heinous crime".
A source close to the case, who asked not to be named, told AFP the suspected killer was among seven arrested around the city of Toulouse, about 400 kilometers away, in raids carried out by 50 gendarmes from the elite GIGN unit. .
Even before the arrests, far-right politicians had been quick to blame the attack on youths of immigrant background living in public housing, even though police have yet to release details on the identities of those arrested.
