The US Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, will be visiting Kosovo today. Escobar arrives in Kosovo a few days after the meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels, a meeting mediated by the EU in the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
The meeting was held due to the unrest in the north of Kosovo, but resulted in no agreement on license plates and IDs.
During today, Escobar will meet with the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. In the evening, the American envoy is expected to meet with representatives of the opposition, whom he has invited for dinner.
In support of the dialogue, the EU's special envoy, Miroslav Lajçak, will also visit Kosovo tomorrow.
