Ukraine and the United States could sign a minerals agreement within the next 24 hours, after final details are worked out, Ukraine's prime minister said.

The agreement, which has been reworked, has become a "true partnership agreement," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The conditions could consider future U.S. aid as part of contributions to the fund, he said in televised comments.

Ukraine's first deputy prime minister is heading to Washington to sign the agreement, according to sources cited by Reuters news agency.

The exact terms of the agreement remain unclear, with the deal encountering several hurdles – including a now-infamous clash between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump in the White House – which have delayed it.
