At the proposal of the mayor of the municipality of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, the decision to declare "Honorary Citizens", four personalities whom he called "heroes of war and peace", Hashim Thaçin, was approved by vote in the Assembly of the Municipality of Drenas . Today, with my proposal, the Assembly of Drenas gave a symbolic recognition to the worthy sons of the nation, former president Hashim Thaçi, former speaker Kadri Veseli, former speaker and deputy Jakup Krasniqi and former deputy Rexhep Selimi, the title of "Honorary Citizen".

Gratitude has nothing to do with politics, but we here, in the Assembly of the municipality of Drenas, testify that they are heroes of war and peace, for their vital contribution, they are also "Honorary Citizens" of the municipality of Drenas, for as long as we exist as a municipality.

History was born here, in Drenica, and we, with a simple symbolism, want to give the news that even as honorary citizens, they are the pride of our municipality and the pride of the nation!
