One of the most dramatic moments of Tuesday's presidential debate came after its conclusion, when Donald Trump suddenly entered the room where reporters were standing.

According to the BBC, his performance was a clear sign that he knew he had not fared well on the debate stage and wanted to try to offer an alternative narrative to the cameras.

Reporters immediately flocked to Trump. Some asked him why he felt the need to go to them instead of letting his performance speak for itself. "It was the best debate I've ever had," he claimed.

"If he really believed that, he wouldn't have felt the need to come and say it in person. When Trump emerged as the clear winner from the debate with Joe Biden in June, he did no such thing," writes BBC correspondent Sarah Smith.

Asked if he would agree to a second debate, as the Harris campaign has suggested, he said: "She wants another debate because she lost so badly tonight."

However, at least, according to what the international media write, despite his attitude, the Republican candidate could not hide his clear concern that he had not emerged victorious in this confrontation.
