"I will vote for you" / Taylor Swift announces her support for Harris

Taylor Swift announced her support for Kamala Harris shortly after the Democratic candidate's debate with Donald Trump ended before the US election.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walsh in the 2024 election," Swift wrote in her Instagram post to her 283 million followers.

“I'm voting for Harris because she's fighting for the rights and goals that I believe need a fighter to defend them.

I appreciate that she is a solid and charismatic leader and I believe we can achieve much more for this country if we are led by sanity and not chaos," Swift added in her post.

The singer, who according to some analysts could be a decisive factor in the outcome of the election thanks to her popularity, signed her post with the words "Childless Cat Lady", thus indirectly responding to Trump's candidate, JD Vance, who used the term during a 2019 interview.
