Prime Minister Albin Kurti has apologised after failing to solve a seventh-grade equation during the inauguration of a school in the municipality of Kumanovo.
As he visited the new premises of a class, Kurt paused for a moment as he saw a mathematical exercise with the unknown "X" on the board.
With the chalk, the head of the Kosovo government rushed to resolve it by coming to the conclusion "5". But it seems he was wrong because the "X" in this case is equal to "0.".
The pencil immediately went viral on social media and electronic media.
However, Kurti apologised, saying he had rushed and should have thought it better.
"Thank you for the hearty hospitality in your new school building. Your joy today filled me with yearning for school banking. But I have to say that I am glad I wasn't a student at that moment, because I wouldn't get a passing grade. The simple mathematical equation seemed to me from the first second that it had the solution x =5; 5, as the five I desire for you. If I thought about it, I would see that the correct solution is x=0, but in that case, I don't think I would have the time to take the chalk and write on the board of your class. I apologize. The solution to that equation, as you know better than your prime minister, is x= 0," Kurti wrote.
