Earth will be hit by a small asteroid today, astronomers have said.
But the small asteroid, which is roughly one metre in size, will burn up in the atmosphere when it arrives.
This means it should not pose danger to anyone on the ground. However, the asteroid is expected to give a show in the sky as it could be visible as a fireball as it burns.
Asteoride will fall in the Philippines, near the island of Luzon.
The European Space Agency was able to provide a highly detailed assessment of where the object would pass.
The Earth is hit quite often by objects from space and almost all are too small to pass through the atmosphere and pose any danger. However, because they are so small, it is difficult and rare to see them in advance.
