The 34-year-old Mustafa Avci was pulled out of the earthquake ruins after 12 days and has already met his wife and daughter Almila, who was born about 3 hours after the first tremor.

On the terrible night of the earthquake, Mustafa Avco sent his wife to the hospital to give birth. While he was outside a private hospital, Turkey was hit by the first powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake and was covered in rubble.

He was trapped for 12 days when search and rescue teams finally managed to get him out alive. "I did not believe that I would come out alive. I lost my mother, my father. I thought that his wife and newborn daughter had also died. Thank God. I'm in a little pain, but I feel like I've been reborn", said Mustafa Avci.

"The sun rose again for me. I am very excited. I was very afraid that my child would grow up without a father. I was so sad, but God heard our baby, our voice. He can't believe it", said his wife Bilge Avci.
