Ukraine reports it has captured a Russian general who is believed to be the most senior officer in the Russian military to be captured since World War II.

A video shown in some Ukrainian media shows a group of Russian soldiers captured by local forces during a surprise counter-offensive near the city of Kharkiv, among whom is a person dressed in the uniform of a mid-ranking officer.
